July 2019:

  • fileServersNG-v61 1.0.2 released - Adds support for authentication with internal Alfresco and external users such as LDAP synced users.
  • JFileServer 1.1.7 released - Sample NIO filesystem now uses FileChannel, adds trashcan folder for background delete, and truncate to zero length, of large files.
  • JFileServer Enterprise 1.0.5 released - Rewrote the SMB2 message sequence/credit window algorithm. Tuned the memory pool for large SMB2 requests, Win10 will now send 1MB write requests.

June 2019:

  • fileServersNG-v61 1.0.0 released - JFileServer based file servers subsystem for Alfresco v6.1, that adds SMB2 and SMB3 support to the Alfresco Content Management system.
  • JFileServer 1.1.5 released - Includes an important fix for SMB session disconnects when under heavy network load.
  • JFileServer Enterprise 1.0.3 released - Includes an important fix for SMB Kerberos/AD authentication.

May 2019:

  • 25 client free to use licence - The JFileServer Enterprise and fileServersNG Docker images now contain a free to use 25 client licence.


March 2019:

  • fileServersNG-v6 1.0.0 released - JFileServer based file servers subsystem for Alfresco v6.0, that adds SMB2 and SMB3 support to the Alfresco Content Management system.

January 2019:

  • JFileServer Enterprise 1.0.0 released - add-on to the JFileServer core that adds support for SMB2 and SMB3 protocols to the file server. Change log details here.
  • JFileServer 1.1.1 released - adds support for environment variables in configuration files, removed the legacy Win32 NetBIOS code into a seperate add-on project. Change log details here.
  • fileServersNG-v5 1.0.0 released - JFileServer based file servers subsystem for Alfresco v5.x/v4.x, that adds SMB2 and SMB3 support to the Alfresco Content Management system. Change log details here.

October 2018:

  • FileSys.Org website goes live
  • JFileServer 1.0.0 released - fork of the Alfresco JLAN code with many changes to the source code to bring it up to date.
