  • JFileServer 1.3.2 released - Restructured the NFS code to add async I/O, thread pool, memory pool support. Moved NFS3 protocol processing out into a pluggable class. Changed debug flags to use enum classes. Added in-memory caching/streaming support to the database filesystem code, plus various minor bug fixes.

September 2019:

  • JFileServer 1.1.8 released - Added new configuration options to the SMB server (requireSigning, disableEncryption, KerberosConfig and LoginConfig).
  • JFileServer Enterprise 1.0.6 released - Added Kerberos high strength encryption support (AES 256bit and AES 128bit), supports latest versions of Active Directory. Various SMB2 protocol fixes.

July 2019:

  • fileServersNG-v61 1.0.2 released - Adds support for authentication with internal Alfresco and external users such as LDAP synced users.
  • JFileServer 1.1.7 released - Sample NIO filesystem now uses FileChannel, adds trashcan folder for background delete, and truncate to zero length, of large files.
  • JFileServer Enterprise 1.0.5 released - Rewrote the SMB2 message sequence/credit window algorithm. Tuned the memory pool for large SMB2 requests, Win10 will now send 1MB write requests.

June 2019:

  • fileServersNG-v61 1.0.0 released - JFileServer based file servers subsystem for Alfresco v6.1, that adds SMB2 and SMB3 support to the Alfresco Content Management system.
  • JFileServer 1.1.5 released - Includes an important fix for SMB session disconnects when under heavy network load.
  • JFileServer Enterprise 1.0.3 released - Includes an important fix for SMB Kerberos/AD authentication.

May 2019:

  • 25 client free to use licence - The JFileServer Enterprise and fileServersNG Docker images now contain a free to use 25 client licence.

October 2018:

  • FileSys.Org website goes live
